Frient devices part of EU funded smart home education project
We are always happy to hear about how users of frient are using our smart home devices.
And we are super excited to learn that a range of frient devices are being used for an EU funded “smart home classroom” project for educational purposes at Óbuda University in Hungary.
Best in class products for smart home installers
For the project, the selected smart home devices – including the frient Intelligent Smoke Alarm, Intelligent Heat Alarm, Entry Sensor Pro, and other frients – are set up with Homey Pro as a base to educate installers of smart homes.
The project is carried out by Kálmán Gergely, CTO of OkosOtthon Labor Kft., a Hungarian smart home company.
For the Zigbee part of the project, Gergely was keen on having frient devices in the classroom:
“Of course, we included frient products because they are unique, durable, precise, and reliable units. [...] frient products have a long battery swap period, resulting in low maintenance requirements”, he explains.
