What is a multisensor?
A multisensor, or a multipurpose sensor, combines several features in just one device.
An example is a device that monitors movement, light, and temperature. In addition to notifying you about movement, changes in the light level, and the temperature, the multisensor also allows you to set up automations triggered by either of the three.
Another example of a multipurpose sensor is a device that combines open/close and temperature monitoring. This device notifies you about the opening and closing of something as well as the temperature in the room. With this multisensor, you can set up automations triggered by open/close or temperature.
How does it work?
Via an internet-connected hub, a wireless multisensor, for instance a Zigbee multi sensor, notifies you on your smartphone when the device is triggered. With tamper protection included, you also get a warning if anyone tries to remove the device
Battery-operated multisensors are easy to install – no need for a professional installer.
