Introducing the IO Module: Connect wired devices to your smart home and control them remotely
Have you ever wanted to make your “dumb” wired devices smart but you weren’t sure how?
Then our newest frient is just what you need.
Meet the IO Module. It lets you connect your devices such as electrical blinds, garage doors, or heat pumps to your smart home.
This way, you can control these remotely from your smartphone or include them in smart home automations.
Please note that the IO Module needs a hub to connect to your smart home – you can find a list of compatible hubs here.
Almost endless use cases
With the friently IO Module, the possibilities for creating helpful smart home scenarios are almost endless.
By connecting your electrical heat pump in your summer house, for example, you can easily control it remotely before you arrive and make sure you have a nice temperature and warm water when you get there.
As the IO Module is also ideal for use in smart home automations, there are basically no limits to what you can connect and automate in your home.
The IO Module is fully compatible with other Zigbee devices, so you can for instance connect a Motion Sensor Pro that can detect if the sun is shining. And by connecting your electrical blinds to the IO Module, the smart sensor can tell your blinds to close.
That means no more annoying bright light in your face, without having to move a finger. Smart, right?

A compact, little frient that fits almost anywhere
We have designed the IO Module to fit into small spaces where it’s not seen, for example inside a technical cabinet or behind an electricity outlet where it can be connected to wired devices and a power source. This frient is meant to be hidden while it’s working its magic in the background.
