Next level indoor environment with the frient sensors and DiCE SMART
As our homes become more alive with the help of our smart devices, we start wanting to interact with them more naturally. To bring you one step closer to zero user-interface and let you keep track of the indoor environment, the frient Smart Humidity Sensor and Air Quality Sensor are now integrated with the innovative DiCE SMART hub.
Made by the Italian company DiCEworld, the innovative design of DiCE SMART allows you to control it with gestures and uses lights to catch your attention when an automation is triggered. For now, the hub is primarily available in Italy, but it should soon be available to other European users.
A strong frientship
The DiCE SMART hub uses Zigbee to connect with the frient devices, creating a stable internal network for indoor environment monitoring. It also has a wireless module, so you can use their app to set up your scenarios and control your frients even when you’re away from home. Since DiCE SMART is very energy-focused, you can easily see the battery level of your frients at any point and also be notified when it gets low.
Communicate through light and color
You can set up a scenario where you are automatically alerted to changes in the VOC levels at home. Once the Air Quality Sensor sends the signal, your DiCE SMART hub and potentially some of your lights will change to a color of your choosing, so you can take action, such as turning on an air purifier.
Subtle reminders to turn on the fan
Many things can come in the way of your comfort at home. Sudden rises in the humidity or temperature levels can shock your body and cause sneezing, coughing, or just overall difficulty breathing. Use the Smart Humidity Sensor to monitor those levels for you and send a message to the DiCE SMART hub. You can select a specific shade of yellow, for instance, that can subtly tell you it’s too hot, and you should turn on the A/C.
Maintaining healthy humidity and temperature levels is also important for other living species such as your plants. If the air becomes too dry, your beautiful flowers may have trouble reaching their full bloom. The Smart Humidity Sensor will let your DiCE SMART know before the conditions become too harmful for your leafy friends.
